Eco School

The Eco-schools programme is an international initiative that encourages pupils to participate in environmental issues and sustainable development. It offers a highly structured system for environmental management of schools focusing on Litter, Waste Reduction, Transport, Healthy Living, Energy, Water, School Grounds and Global Citizenship.

Pupils take the main roles in making decisions and participating in order to reduce the environmental impact of their school. In this way, Eco-schools extend beyond the classroom and develop aspects of responsible citizenship, at home and in the wider community.

The Eco Committee meets regularly and plans various campaigns.

This school is an Eco-school (green flag), and grows vegetables, plants, recycles and fosters responsibility in the children regarding the future of the environment.
